We all face stress at one point or another. However some people are afflicted more than others.
For instance, according to the American Psychological Association (APA), women report feeling slightly more stressed than men, with an average stress rating of 5.3 on a 10-point scale as opposed to 4.9 from their male counterparts.
Furthermore, millennial stress levels are almost double that of “matures.”
Certainly, there’s no way to get rid of stress entirely. However, there are quite a few things you can do to help ease it before it starts to affect your quality of life. Here are seven.
Practice Time Management – Time management is really the key to creating balance in life.
Seek Variety – Change up your routine.
Spend time with Nature – It will help to clear your head and lower your stress levels.
Meditation – Meditate on something positive and happy.
Learn to do Breathing exercises – This helps you to relax and gives a sense of well-being.
Stay physically active – Physical activity helps reduce stress levels.
Get Regular Massages and Facials – Take time to pamper yourself.
As an Esthetician I encourage everyone to not just get a massage or facial when you are in pain or have break outs but also on a regular basis. Take the time to investigate the different types of facials I and massages in the industry. In that way you and your therapist can choose what is the most beneficial combination treatment to you.
